I Have been working with knitwear, yarn and machines for over 25 years. Although I have always loved making things, knitwear found me just after I had left school and somehow it has never let me go. I will always have an enduring fascination with how knitting and its machines works. It was a chance comment from Sass that started this all off. Hello, my name is Sass and I’ve been sewing since I was four. I didn’t make anything, just joined scraps of fabric together in any random fashion; waste from garments my mother and grandmother had made for them by fantastically exotic creatures with workrooms and magical tools. At least that’s how they seemed to my four year old self. I was convinced I was doing the same thing but quickly realised I had to figure a few things out.
